Bidders Qualified for Medical Cities Project in Saudi Arabia
5 September 2022The Ministry of Health (MoH), Saudi Arabia in cooperation with the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP), announced the Qualified Bidders for King Faisal Medical City (KFMC) in Abha, and Prince Mohammad bin Abdul Aziz Medical City (PMMC) in Sakaka.
The project is being tendered under a public-private-partnership (PPP) model of Design, Build, Finance, Operate with no clinical operations, Maintain and Transfer.
The EOI Statement mentioned that, King Faisal Medical City (KFMC) will have a bed capacity of 1,024, and Prince Mohammad bin Abdul Aziz Medical City (PMMC) in Sakaka will have a bed capacity of 442 beds.
The MoH is tendering the project under a (PPP) model, where the private sector would be responsible for completing the construction of the medical cities with an innovative design to provide health services according to modern healthcare models.
The list included the following six companies and consortiums:
- AlFanar & Steward consortium
- Interhealth and Kifah Consortium
- Rufaida Consortium
- Vision Invest Mouwasat Consortium
- Tamasuk and Alghanim Consortium
- CIIML, Alfouzan and Seder Consortium
The MoH is being advised by the following advisers for the Project:
- HSBC Saudi Arabia as Lead and Financial Adviser
- Abuhimed Alsheikh Alhagbani Law Firm (AS&H) in cooperation with Clifford Chance as Legal Advisor
- Jacobs as Technical Advisor.
