New Argentina bridge and highway project planned
19 August 2022
A new bridge and highway project in Argentina’s Salta Province is being planned. The package of works is worth a total of US$1.34 billion and the project is expected to take 24 months to complete.
The project includes the construction of a highway stretch as well as a bridge spanning the Vaqueros River, with a total length of 4km and featuring two lanes in either direction. The new highway and bridge section will connect the Bolivia Avenue intersection with Provincial Route 28 to the Wierna River Bridge on National Route 9.
The work is being financed by Vialidad Nacional and the project is being overseen by Vialidad de Salta. The new bypass will help traffic flow in the area and will feature facilities for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as three roundabouts to connect to existing roads.
