University of Kentucky Awards Turner $225 Million Contract for Construction of Health Education Building

The innovative, state-of-the-art Health Education Building will serve University of Kentucky’s four healthcare colleges.
Turner Construction Company is pleased to announce that the firm was selected by the University of Kentucky to build a Health Education Building on its campus in Lexington. The Health Education Building will house facilities and services for the UK Colleges of Medicine, Public Health, Health Sciences, and Nursing. The building will be approximately 450,000 square feet and will include classrooms, simulation suites, conference rooms, as well as office and support space.
The buildings’ technological advancements and spacious environments will serve as a hub for health education for the University of Kentucky. The building will have green roofs and terraces that will promote concepts of wellness and health for occupants.

Groundbreaking for the Health Education Building is planned for late 2023 with completion scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.
