Ministry of Housing and Alameda Healthcare Group sign MoU

In line Egypt vision 2030, which reflects the state’s long-term strategic plan to create sustainable societies in partnership with leading economic, technical and scientific entities and development partners, the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a global alliance that includes Alameda Healthcare Group, the China State Construction Engineering Corporation “C.S.C.E.C” and Al-Hazeq Construction Company, to establish, manage and operate the first and largest hospital in the New Administrative Capital.
According to this public–private partnership, Alameda will operate a new hospital for 49 renewable years, while the facility will be owned by the ministry, represented by NUCA and constructed by the China State Construction Engineering Corporation “C.S.C.E.C” and Al-Hazeq Construction Company.
The alliance responsible for the establishment, construction and management of the hospital will collaborate with global consultants in the field of engineering and architectural consultancy specialised in the medical field, such as the global office “HKS”. In addition to, a global partner to contribute in setting international medical standards and management.
Moreover, the ministry will provide a land plot of 7 feddan located near the CBD New Capital Towers in the New Administrative Capital’s Business District. Alameda will begin running the facility upon the completion of the hospital’s construction phase after 36 months from the agreement signing date. Alameda will invest LE1 billion for equipping the hospital with the cutting edge and most advanced medical technology and equipment.

In this context, Neeraj Mishra, CEO of Alameda Healthcare Group said, “This is a major milestone in our journey to expand our capacity and geographical presence. Our endeavor is to position this hospital on the world map as the referral and training centre for the country and continent”
This MoU comes as an extension of the state’s plans to establish the new administrative capital of Egypt and provide all major services at the highest global standards. The most essential of these services is the provision of exceptional healthcare services, which will aid in positioning Egypt at the forefront of the healthcare field in the MEA region.
