China National Technical Import & Export Corporation and Powerchina Resources plan to launch the construction of the Ivovik wind farm in western Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2022, the municipality of Tomislavgrad said.

The Ivovik wind farm will have a total installed capacity of 84 MW and its construction will cost 130 million euro ($151.4 million), the municipality of Tomislavgrad said in a statement on Sunday.

The wind farm will be built at a location between the Tomislavgrad municipality and the town of Livno.

The government of Bosnia's Federation entity gave a preliminary approval for the launch of the Ivovik wind farm project in February 2020. The Ivovik plant will comprise 42 wind turbines of 2 MW each and will produce 236,631 GWh of electricity per year, according to an earlier statement by the Federation.

The Federation is one of two autonomous entities forming Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
