Skanska builds Signia by Hilton hotel in Atlanta, USA, for USD 271M, about SEK 2.3 billion

Skanska has signed a contract with Georgia World Congress Center Authority to build the first new construction Signia by Hilton hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. The total contract value is USD 308M for the Skanska-led joint venture along with SG Contracting, Inc. Skanska will include its 88 percent share worth USD 271M, about SEK 2.3 billion, in the US order bookings for the second quarter of 2021.
Signia by Hilton is a new upscale brand from Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HLT). The 40-story, 114,000-square-meter hotel will be built to achieve LEED Gold certification and feature 975 guest rooms and 7,000 square meters of meeting and event space. The hotel will also include parking facilities, spa and fitness facilities, a 620-square-meter pool deck, outdoor event space, market and two restaurants.
Construction begins April 2021, and completion is scheduled for early 2024.
