Nyаhuwаsсо to build solar power plants for its water treatment facilities

Nyаhuwаsсо , which provides water and sanitation services in Laikipia West Sub-county under the , plans to construct a solar power plant at one of its water treatment facilities.
The company, therefore, seeks eligible firms that are able to demonstrate both technical and financial capability for the financing, design, and construction of the proposed solar photovoltaic plant.
In particular, interested parties should demonstrate the ability to finance, design, build and operationalize the Solar PV system through safe and best construction engineering practices. They should also have the ability to provide and propose suitable financing structures and have the financial capability to finance the project from the start up to the commissioning stage.
Lastly, they should be able to undertake any permitting requirements pertaining to the implementation of the project.
Submitting the EOI’s
Expression of Interest (EOI) clearly marked with the Ref No:NYAHUWASCO/EOI/FSP/011/2020-2021 and clearly marked Finance, design, and build of a solar PV plant for Nyahururu Water and Sanitation Company, and no other markings, should be addressed to the Managing Director, Nyahururu Water and Sanitation Company Ltd, P.O.BOX 952-20300, Nyahururu, Kenya.

The objective of the project
The objective of this project is to cut down the cost of electricity for running water pumps and the entire facility in the long run, by shifting from total reliance on grid power to solar power, and consequently enhance consistency in water production and supply in Nyahururu town and its environs.
